Terms & Conditions – Mattress

Dear Customer,

Firstly, thank you for becoming a valued customer of Restolex products. Our mattresses are warranted against any manufacturing defect for a period varying from 2 to 15 years from the date of purchase.

For products with a 2 year warranty, within the first 1 year the mattress will be replaced if there is any manufacturing defect as mentioned below; if the mattress is replaced after 1 year, the warranty will apply only for the remaining 1 year.

For products with 5 to 15 years warranty, during the first year the mattress will be replaced if there is any manufacturing defect as mentioned below; during subsequent years, a pro-rated warranty will be applicable.

Warranty Terms

  • All products must be registered under warranty within 30 days of delivery to claim warranty.
  • Warranty is available only in case of product failure due to manufacturing defect.
  • Product failure is limited to sagging of the core of the mattress.
  • Warranty does not cover depression of less than 1" for mattresses up to 5" thick and 1.5" for mattresses more than 5" thick.
  • Warranty is not applicable to wear and tear of the fabric and stitching from regular use.
  • Warranty does not cover preference in comfort level and firmness; the body and mattress may take a few weeks to adjust and flexible polyurethane foam softens with normal use without affecting performance.
  • Warranty does not cover damages or sagging due to improper size and condition of the cot, uneven resting surface, or improper structural design of the cot.
  • Warranty does not cover damage caused due to ironing and is not applicable to any freebies.
  • Stains on the mattress tapestry after unpacking or during subsequent use are not covered.
  • Opening of stitches (quilt or tape edge) reported after 30 days from delivery is not covered.
  • Quilt looseness reported after 30 days from delivery is not covered.
  • Replacement time may vary and depends on product availability, though the company will strive to replace defective mattresses at the earliest.
  • Size variation of ±0.5" in length, width, and thickness is acceptable; after unpacking, it may take 2–3 days for the mattress to settle to its actual size.
  • Warranty is not applicable for any smell during usage in an enclosed environment, moisture due to surrounding conditions or air conditioner use, excessively wet surfaces, or liquid spills on the mattress.
  • Warranty does not cover user‑inflicted damages, infestation by insects, bugs or rodents, or damage due to natural calamities.
  • Warranty is available only under proper use of the product.
  • Warranty is valid only if the product is purchased from an authorized dealer, distributor, exclusive store, website, or authorized marketplace.
  • Warranty will be exercised by replacing the damaged product with an identical product; if unavailable, a similar substitute of equal or higher value or a discount based on pro‑rata calculation will be provided towards purchase of a new Restolex mattress.
  • The final decision regarding warranty will be made by Restolex Coir Products Pvt. Ltd.
  • All disputes, if any, are subject to Bangalore jurisdiction only.
  • This warranty policy is effective from 1 January 2025 and supersedes all previous policies, written or oral.

Warranty Calculation

In the event that you need to claim warranty, the pro‑rata calculation will be applied for products with pro‑rated coverage.

Example: You bought a Restolex mattress with 5 years warranty for Rs. 10,000.

  1. If any defect arises in the first year, the product will be repaired or replaced free of cost.
  2. If the defect arises after 1 year of use, a pro‑rata calculation is applicable on the balance warranty period and the computed value is offered as a discount or forfeited amount for a new Restolex mattress of equivalent or higher value.

The pro‑rata discount is calculated as: (Amount Paid / No. of Warranty Years) × Balance Warranty Years

Illustration: (Rs. 10,000 / 5 years) × 4 years balance warranty = Rs. 8,000 (discount / forfeited amount for the new Restolex mattress).

How to Claim Warranty

In case you encounter any issue while using the product, please refer to the warranty details on your warranty card.

Please provide a copy of your purchase invoice and MRP label as proof of purchase. Without these documents, Restolex reserves the right to reject any warranty claim.
